SQ broadband internet uses fixed, wireless and satellite technologies, but satellite communications are the backbone of our internet solution. Satellite-based solutions offer a number of specific advantages over terrestrial technologies for delivering internet connectivity, including:

the ability to deliver internet traffic to any point within the satellite coverage zone;

fast deployment;

flexible and efficient methods and services for delivering high volumes of content (e.g., multicasting, streaming, push and so on);

efficient implementation of point-to-multipoint information networks;

minimum number of hops from the global internet direct to the user's desktop;

ability to support interactive services.

SQ currently provides broadband internet services to businesses and other internet service providers in the Russian Federation through our Russian subsidiaries Astra Signum and Amadeus Connect.
